Listening to the Shape of your Life - A day retreat with Dr Lynn Moresi

This one-day retreat is for people who sense that their faith has shifted — or is shifting — and who want space to listen carefully to what this stage of life is asking of them.

Faith does not develop in a straight line. It deepens, unsettles, sheds old certainties, and takes new shapes as our lives change. Yet many people have never been given language, frameworks, or permission to reflect on these movements with honesty. During this day, we will explore a range of life-stage and faith-development models to help identify where we currently find ourselves, and to better understand the stages others around us may be inhabiting.

Participants will be invited to look back over their own life story, noticing moments of growth, loss, calling, disillusionment, courage, and quiet faithfulness — tracing how God has been forming them, stretching them, and sometimes undoing them. From there, we will face forward asking gentler but more truthful questions:

·         Who am I being invited to become in this stage of my life?

·         What may need to be released, grieved, or let go?

·         What is being asked of me now — not later, not before?

Alongside the voices of respected wisdom teachers, participants will work with their own lived experience as a sacred text. Rather than importing answers, this retreat honours your life as a narrative guide — because you carry the deepest knowledge of your own story.

This day is reflective, spacious, and grounded. It offers time to listen — to your life, to God, and to what is quietly forming beneath the surface.

Facilitator - Dr Lynn Moresi

Lynn is a Spiritual Director, Professional Supervisor, Enneagram trainer, and educator with over 30 years’ experience accompanying people through faith transitions, change and the complexities of life. Alongside her academic work with the University of Divinity — where she trains Spiritual Directors and Professional Supervisors — Lynn has spent decades listening to people’s real stories: their questions, doubts, losses, hopes, and longings. Her work is grounded in helping people make sense of their lived experience, especially when faith no longer fits neatly or certainty has begun to loosen. Lynn’s doctoral research, supervised by Fr Richard Rohr, explored how faith develops through seasons of uncertainty, doubt, and what is often described as the dark night of the soul. These are the themes that continue to inform her approach to supervision, accompaniment, and formation. Lynn is a warm and engaging facilitator, known for her clarity, practical wisdom, and sense humour.
